Italian giants, Juventus are willing to offer Brazilian flop, Melo for the talented Arsenal defender, Gael Clichy.

Tuttosport reports the Gunners are keen on entering a transfer scheme that will see a straight swap for Gael Clichy and Melo without any cash exchanging hands as part of the deal.

Melo, 27, has been tipped to leave the club following an overwrought season in which he failed to impress after his €26 million move from Fiorentina.

And it's that figure which is causing Juventus to reconsider the proposals. Having spent so much on Melo they are unwilling to yield their grip.
