CLICHY REGRETTING CHRISTMAS PERIOD
Arsenal defender Gael Clichy has said that Arsenal could have certainly done better during Christmas period. Speaking to Arsenal TV Online after Wednesday’s goalless draw, the Frenchman believes the game should be archived as two lost points at home with the Gunners clearly the better side and Roberto Mancini’s men happy to sit back and counter attack hoping to get a goal from a set-piece.
Asked about the approach adopted by the away side, the 25-year old explained the Blues have a lot of good players so one can’t really say they were scared to play football as he believes the Gunners should have done better having controlled the game.
With Manchester United getting all three points against Stoke, Gael Clichy declared he is fully aware that the Red Devils have opened a small gap at the top as he concluded by saying how Arsenal could have done better away at Wigan, a game they drew despite leading by one goal and one man.
