Clichy Flattered by Interest
Gael Clichy admits he is flattered by interest from Barcelona but insists he is settled in England and wants to focus on winning silverware with Arsenal.
European champions Barca are thought to be considering a £10million summer bid for the 24-year-old, whose contract expires in 2012.
Standard Sport understands talks have not yet begun on an extension and it may be that Clichy will seek assurances over Arsene Wenger's future before committing to the club further. The Arsenal boss will enter the final year of his deal next season.
But Clichy said: "It is great that these teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid are looking at me. They are great teams as everyone knows but all I want to say is that I am focused on the end of the season. I want to win something here. I have two years left on my contract so it is not a question to answer."
